The Mistfall Hunter build editor
This page is the working end of Mistfall Builds: a Mistfall Hunter build editor that keeps the entire build — class, skills, talents, gear affixes and name — inside the page URL. Nothing you do here is stored on a server. Change a talent and the link changes with it; copy the link at any moment and you have captured the build exactly as it stands. Below the tool you will find a practical reference for what the editor lets you pick from: the full skill pool for each weapon type, every class talent tree at a glance, and the affix pools the game rolls on gear, all anchored to the 2026-07-30 update.
How to use the editor
1. Pick a class. The six cards at the top of a fresh editor — or the Change button on an existing build — set which weapon stances, and therefore which skills, the build can use. Switching class clears the current picks, but any previously shared link keeps working, because a link is a snapshot that nobody can edit out from under you.
2. Slot skills. Add skills opens a searchable picker filtered to your class's weapon pool. You can slot up to 8; the first four appear on the social preview card when the build is shared, so lead with the skills that define the build.
3. Spend talent points. The talent panel shows your class's full tree with unlock levels. You have 8 points to spend, matching the level-12 cap; locked rows tell you which prerequisite they need, and removing a prerequisite automatically removes anything built on top of it.
4. Note gear affixes. Each of the 8 gear slots accepts up to 4 affix names — enough to describe what to hunt for on that slot without pretending to be a stat calculator.
5. Copy and share. The bar at the bottom always shows the current link. Copy link gives you the raw URL; Copy share text wraps it in a short formatted summary for Discord or Reddit, where the link unfolds into a preview card with the class crest and core skills.
The editor works the same way on a phone: pickers open as bottom sheets sized for thumbs, the share bar stays pinned to the bottom of the screen, and a full build can be planned and shared from a small screen without ever needing the desktop layout. Theorycrafting from the sofa mid-session is a supported workflow, not an afterthought.
Skill pools by weapon type
All 100 skills in the current data, grouped by the weapon that enables them. Skills listed under two weapons can be slotted from either stance.
Bow skills (8)
The Bow carries the Blackarrow's precision game: marked targets, long sightlines and shot skills that reward standing still exactly as long as is safe and no longer.
Used by Blackarrow · Frostblight Bomb, Impact Grenade, Predator's Senses, Rapid Arrows, Scattershot, Shadow Step, Shooting, Sky Piercer
Catalyst skills (15)
The Catalyst is the Seer's rune-and-ward stance: binding, blinding and burst runes alongside protective wards. It reads like a support kit on paper, but several of its runes are the control backbone of aggressive Seer builds too.
Used by Seer · Binding Rune, Blinding Rune, Burst Rune, Death Ward, Healing Art, Healing Rune, Intimidation Rune, Psionic Orb, Psionic Shield, Punishment Rune, Rune Summon, Shelter Rune, Stealth Rune, Wind Surge, Windwalker Rune
Dagger skills (6)
The Dagger pool is where Shadowstrix stealth lives: Sneak, Smoke Bomb, Flash Stride and strike skills built around openers and escapes. Most assassination-style builds anchor here and use Dual Blades for the follow-up.
Used by Shadowstrix · Crow Storm, Flash Stride, Poison Crow Mark, Shadow Strike, Smoke Bomb, Sneak
Dual Blades skills (8)
Dual Blades are the flurry half of the Shadowstrix kit — fast multi-hit strings like Bloody Blade Dance and Fang Rush that reward staying glued to a target once an opening exists.
Used by Shadowstrix · Bloody Blade Dance, Crow Storm, Fang Rush, Flurry Strike, Inspiring Impale, Phantom Shift, Poison Crow Mark, Spinning Slash
Greatsword skills (8)
The Greatsword is the Withered Knight's committed damage stance — wide arcs and charges like Breakthrough Charge that trade recovery time for reach and weight.
Used by Withered Knight · Breakthrough Charge, Opportunistic Thrust, Parry, Pursuit, Radiant Retribution, Sprinting Slash, Thorn Guide, Withering Mark
Hammer skills (7)
The Hammer is the Mercenary's payoff stance: charge-up slams like Earthshaker that convert the safety earned behind a shield into burst.
Used by Mercenary · Earthshaker, Hammer Dash, Hammer Spin, Power Hammer, Punishing Hammer, Skullcrusher, Warhammer Sling
Javelin skills (8)
The Javelin is the Blackarrow's newer mid-range stance (added post-launch), mixing thrown pressure with mobility tools — several of its skills are shared with the Bow pool, so hybrid loadouts are natural.
Used by Blackarrow · Divine Infusion, Frostblight Bomb, Impact Grenade, Predator's Senses, Shadow Step, Stitch and Thread, Throw, Trickstep Javelin
Mace skills (10)
The Mace gives the Seer a genuine melee stance, trading cast time for swings and slams. Builds that lean Mace usually keep one or two Catalyst wards for safety and spend the rest of the loadout up close.
Used by Seer · Impact Sigil, Paralysis Curse, Rune: Ankle Cut, Rune: Corruption, Rune: Drain, Rune: Stun, Rune: Sweep, Shapeshift, Thorn Sigil, Unleash Zeal
Polearm and Shield skills (6)
Polearm and Shield pairs reach with a defensive frame, including tools like Breaker Shield Bash. It is the stance that lets tank-leaning Withered Knight builds hold ground instead of chasing.
Used by Withered Knight · Breaker Shield Bash, Intervene, Javelin Thrust, Rainbow Piercer, Sacred Bulwark, Spear Barrage
Staff skills (24)
The Staff is the Sorcerer's entire arsenal and the largest single pool in the game — elemental bolts and blades, frost control, arcane armors and wards. Staff-centric builds are really school choices: commit to fire, frost or arcane utility and the rest of the loadout follows.
Used by Sorcerer · Arcane Armor, Cryptic Ward, Crystal Icebolt, Deep Freeze, Elemental Affinity, Eye of Insight, Fire Bolt, Flameblade, Forbidden Gate, Gravitational Vortex, Meteor Charm, Meteor Impact, Mistwalk, Phantom Step, Rockblast, Shadow Veil, Star Shock, Stardust Energy, Stardust Tempest, Stardust Torrent, Thunder Pierce, Thunderstorm Sigil, Thunderstrike, Windcraft
Sword and Shield skills (6)
Sword and Shield is the Mercenary's control stance — blocks, bashes and steady trades that keep a fight survivable while the Hammer cooldowns come back.
Used by Mercenary · Impalement, Shield Dash, Shield Slam, Stacked Slash, Stonebreaker Slash, Whirling Cut

The remaining affix names in the data are recorded but not currently rollable on gear, so the editor does not offer them. Values are intentionally out of scope — the planner records which affixes a build wants, not what they roll. When you share a build, the affix names travel with the link per slot, so the person opening it sees the same shopping list you do.
What the build link actually contains
A shared build URL looks like /b/?d=1_3_…&n=My+Build. The d parameter is a compact, versioned encoding of the build — class, skill list, talent picks and per-slot affixes — using only URL-safe characters, and n carries the build name. The leading version number means links keep decoding correctly even as the format evolves; malformed or truncated links degrade gracefully instead of breaking the page, and anything in a link that no longer exists in the current game data is silently dropped rather than rendered wrong.
Because the whole build lives in the link, forking is trivial: open anyone's build, change what you disagree with, and your address bar is already a new build that leaves the original untouched. If you are new to the flow, the sharing overview and FAQ on the home page walk through it step by step.
Editor questions, answered
Why is a skill greyed out in the picker?
The build has hit the 8-skill cap — remove one to make room. Skills your class cannot use are never greyed out; they simply do not appear, because the picker only lists the pools for your class's weapon stances.
Why can't I select a talent?
Either its prerequisite is not in the build yet — the locked row names exactly which talent it needs — or all 8 points are spent. Deselecting a talent refunds its point, and removes any talents that depended on it so the build stays legal.
What happens to shared links when a patch changes the data?
Links are versioned, and every entry in the data keeps a permanent identifier that is never reused. If a patch removes or renames something, old links still open — the retired entry is quietly dropped from the restored build instead of breaking the page, and the data version note tells you which patch the current lists reflect.
How many builds can I keep?
As many as you can keep links. There is no library and no account: a build is a URL, so your bookmarks, notes app or Discord pins are the library. Opening two builds in two tabs to compare them side by side works exactly as you would hope.
Why does the link look like random letters?
The build is packed into a compact code so that even a fully loaded build — eight skills, eight talent points and affixes on every slot — stays a short, paste-friendly URL that never needs escaping. It is not meant to be human-readable; the preview card and the editor are the readable views.
Where the data comes from
Class names and class–weapon pairings are verified against official Steam announcements. Skill, talent and affix lists are cross-checked between two independent community databases before they ship here, and the handful of entries only a single source carries are flagged as unverified in the data files rather than presented as settled. Icons and artwork are game assets, credited to their owners, with every file's source recorded in the project's asset manifest. When a patch lands, the data files are re-anchored and the version note across the site updates with them — currently the 2026-07-30 update.
